The Alfa Romeo 4C is one of those cars that everyone in the Cars in Action office is looking forward to. The stunning concept car was first seen at the Geneva Motor Show last year and we’ve been told it’s going into production, although no one is entirely sure when that will happen but it looks like the release date has been set for 2014.
No official performance specs have been released but we expect it to be quite similar to the concept car, which means a 1.75-litre turbocharged engine with around 172kW. Thanks to its lightweight, a 0-100 sprint time of 4.5 seconds is expected with a top speed of 250km/h.
Now there are new rumours circulating that soon after the 4C debuts, a spider version will arrive within a year or two. Some believe that the drop top version will come out as early as 2015.
Alfa is remaining tight lipped about the 4C in general so hopefully as the launch date approaches, we will be given some more information.
