Hottie of the day: Madelein
This fun-loving Cape Town girl has smile that leaves us weak at the knees – Madelein P. is a model with Topco Models.
1. When and how did you get into modelling?
I participated in the Miss and Mr CPUT 2012 and got a model contract with ACE modelling school in Paarl. In October of the same year Topco scouted me at the modelling school and I’ve been embracing every moment ever since.
2. What are the biggest misperceptions that people have of models?
People stereotype models as tall blond girls who starve themselves to death.
3. What do you look for in a guy?
I want a guy that’s comfortable in his skin and who is proud of who he is. I also like a guy with beautiful eyes and a big smile.
4. What, in a guy, puts you off?
A guy that is over confident.
5. Worst pick up line ever?
A guy once said to me: “I lost my number, can you maybe give me yours.”
6. Worst date you’ve ever been on?
The one guy asked me to go to a funeral with him. It was kind of awkward.
7. What do you do to stay in shape?
I do the Shaun T workout called Insanity and try to eat as healthy as possible.
8. Name 5 things I’d find in your fridge right now
Apples, Provita’s, Monster Energy drink, feta and yogurt.
9. If you could swap bodies with any man for one day, who would it be and what would you do for the day?
I would swap bodies with agent 007. I think it’s very adventurous and I love everything with a bit of danger to keep life interesting.
10. What is your favourite place to go on holiday?
I love going to JBay. I love the vibe and love the people.

When and how did you get into modelling?
I was recommended to my agency by a friend who thought I should give professional modelling a try and here I am.
What are the biggest misperceptions that people have of models?
People think we are really lacking in the intelligence department, but this is not the case at all. Many of us have a whole other educated aspect to our lives and are studying to be architects, engineers, doctors, psychologists… There is depth that many choose not to see.
What do you look for in a guy?
I look for someone with a good sense of humour who I can have a good conversation with. Someone who likes to do active things like hiking etc. It’s always a bonus if they are easy on the eyes.
What, in a guy, puts you off?
Arrogance, or a guy who spends more time styling his hair than I do.
Worst pick up line ever?
‘Did it hurt when you fell out of heaven’. Seriously…
Worst date you’ve ever been on?
When I was 16 I went on a date to the movies with a couple of my girlfriends and our respective partners. As I sat down my date awkwardly put his arm around me capturing me in the most uncomfortable position I have ever been in. I was too afraid to move or reposition myself so sat in his clench for an hour and a half and when I got up my arm and shoulder had died, completely unable to move my limb for about twenty minutes I couldn’t even hug him goodbye. It was terrible.
What do you do to stay in shape?
I run and do light exercises working only with my own body weight to tone up.
Name 5 things I’d find in your fridge right now
1. Leftover sushi from last night
2. Skim milk
3. Strawberries
4. Salad stuff
5. Woollies ready made food.
If you could swap bodies with any man for one day, who would it be and what would you do for the day?
Obama. All that power for one day would be quite an experience.
What is your favourite place to go on holiday?
It’s always been my dream to go to the Greek Cyclades. I think that would be the absolute perfect holiday destination.

Hottie of the day: Nicole Williams
When and how did you get into modeling?
I started modeling when I was a kid, my mom actually put me in modeling classes at the age of 14. My mom moved me to Toronto and that’s when I was signed by NEXT. Later I moved to New York and the rest is history!
What are the biggest misperceptions that people have of models?
People think is all glitz and glamour. They don’t see how life really is for a model. It’s a lot of hard work and competition every day. We don’t just wake up and have an amazing job handed to us…We have to go to castings and compete with some of the most beautiful women in the world.
What do you look for in a guy?
I love to laugh, I need a best friend in my guy…luckily I found my match

Arrogance

This guy accepted my offer to pay for dinner, then complained about paying for parking.

I walk everywhere!

I’d be Channing Tatum and I’d probably go to a very public place and walk around shirtless to watch girls reactions.
